I may be a rider and a competitor, but above all I am a horsewoman and a team player. I have been riding since I was 7 years old, and have worked for and loved every second of it. Ever since I was little, I would spend all of the time I could working and riding at the barn… so not much has changed in that department! I am a working student for my trainer, doing everything from cleaning water buckets to attending shows as a helping hand. I have shown through the pony hunters, even taking the pony that I assisted in training to Pony Finals in 2016, and am now preparing to ride more consistently in big equitation classes, derbies and junior jumpers in the coming years. Aside from regular horse showing, I compete in horsemanship competitions and in IEA, where I compete in the Varsity Open division and serve as the 2017-18 Zone 7 Youth Board representative. I look forward to riding in college because I highly value the hard work and team effort that has to go into this sport to succeed, and have a lot of respect for the people that “get it done!” and strive for excellence in this complex and elite sport. I hope that through the pictures and video on this page, you can see the effort and determination that I have put into my life as an equestrian and an advanced student! Thank you for reading!
